STORE POLICIES
SHIPPING:
U.S. Orders: Any U.S. order over $99.00 ships free. For orders of less than $15.00, it's $3.50. For orders between $15.00 and $35.00, it's $4.95. For orders between $35.00 and $50.00, it's $7.95. For orders between $50.00 and $65.00, it's $9.95. For orders between $65.00 and $80.00, it's $10.95. For orders between $80.00 and $99.00, it's $11.95. We usually use the U.S. Postal Service, but on occasion may use UPS or FedEx Ground. We often ship the same business day, but always ship by the next business day unless there's a question about your order. We always send an email when we ship.
Canadian Orders: Add $8.00 to the U.S. shipping rates, except orders over $99 cost $20.95. We usually use the U.S. Postal Service. Any import or custom duties are the customer's responsibility.
LOW STOCK or OUT OF STOCK POLICY:
We sell through several online channels, so there's always a chance that we could run low or out of stock on an item shown on this site. Normally, when we run low on a product that we cannot re-order (many fabrics are limited runs and cannot be re-ordered), we limit that product to a single sales channel and designate exactly what quantity we have available. If we do not have enough stock to fill your entire order, we will contact you immediately and offer you options for completing your order.
GENERAL RETURNS POLICY:
You may return new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. Items must be returned in their original product packaging. Fabric must be in its original condition, free of pet hair and/or smoke odor; it may not have been laundered, sewn or cut. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We will notify you via email of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.
Product Specific Policies:
We do not accept returns of the following items:
- Any product missing the serial number or UPC
- Items purchased from any other seller
- CDs or DVDs
Returns Procedure:
In order to return any item, you must first contact us through the Contact Us tab, giving us the details of your issue. We will respond on the next business day, giving you specific instructions on how to proceed. That email will include our address and a Return Merchandise Authorization number.

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on each page of our website.
The Information We Collect:

When you order items at our online store, you may create an account to simplify subsequent visits. Should you choose to create an account, you must provide your email address and choose a password. The combination of your e-mail address and password you enter at the time of registration form a unique identifier for your account. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your password and account. You are solely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Melinda's Fabric Shop is not liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge.
We also offer you an option to place an online order without creating an account. Should you elect to do that, we retain no personal information on our website after completing that order.
Should you lose your password, you may recover it by clicking on the Log In tab on our website, then entering your email address and selecting the option to have the password emailed to you.
The Way We Use Information:
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We do not maintain credit card numbers on our server.
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy:
While our business generally targets adults, we recognize that protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
How You Can Access, Correct, or Delete Your Information:
You can access and update all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by signing in at out online store. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
Should you create an account on our website and later decide you wish to delete that account, you may send us an email request through the Contact Us tab at the top of every page. We will promptly delete your customer account and send you a confirmation email.
